Common Issues

Module Run Stuck in PENDING

Symptoms:

  • Module run stays in PENDING status for more than 1 minute
  • No progress updates
  • Status doesn't change

Quick Fixes (try in order):

  1. Refresh the page - Sometimes the UI needs a refresh
  2. Check your internet connection - Ensure stable connection
  3. Wait 2-3 minutes - Large modules can take longer

If Still Stuck:

  1. Check if other modules are running
  2. Try running a different module
  3. Contact support with:
    • Module name
    • Run ID (from URL or Review Room)
    • Screenshot of status
    • How long it's been stuck

Low Quality Scores

Symptoms:

  • Consistency, Humanity, or QA scores are low (<70%)
  • Content doesn't match brand voice
  • Quality issues flagged

Understanding Scores:

  • 80-100% - Excellent, ready to use
  • 70-79% - Good, minor tweaks optional
  • 60-69% - Fair, review and edit recommended
  • Below 60% - Poor, edit or re-run required

Quick Fixes (try in order):

  1. Improve your brand profile (most effective):

    • Add more detail to brand description
    • Define target audience clearly
    • Add proof points and examples
    • Set tone sliders accurately
    • Add forbidden phrases if content uses unwanted language
  2. Check Forbidden Phrases:

    • Review your forbidden phrases list
    • Remove conflicting phrases
    • Ensure phrases are specific (not too broad)
  3. Adjust Tone Sliders:

    • Review tone settings in your brand profile
    • Ensure sliders match your actual brand voice
    • Test different tone combinations
  4. Edit Content Manually:

    • Use inline editing in Review Room
    • Fix specific issues (tone, terminology, length)
    • Re-gate after editing to see improved scores
  5. Re-run Module with Better Inputs:

    • Use more specific topics
    • Provide more context in topic field
    • Try different format options

💡 Tip: Low scores are usually due to an incomplete brand profile. Spend 10 minutes enhancing your brand profile - it pays off in better content quality.

Publishing Failures

Symptoms:

  • Content fails to publish to platform
  • Error message in publishing history
  • "Failed" status on published content

Quick Fixes (try in order):

  1. Check Account Connection:

    • Go to Settings → Publishing Accounts
    • Verify account is connected and active
    • Check if credentials expired (some platforms require re-auth)
  2. Test Connection:

    • Click "Test Connection" on the publishing account
    • If test fails, reconnect the account
  3. Check Platform Limits:

    • Some platforms have rate limits (e.g., X/Twitter)
    • Wait 5-10 minutes and retry
    • Check platform's rate limit documentation
  4. Review Error Message:

    • Go to Publishing → History
    • Click on failed item to see detailed error
    • Common errors:
      • "Rate limit exceeded" → Wait and retry
      • "Invalid credentials" → Reconnect account
      • "Content too long" → Edit content length
      • "Invalid format" → Check platform requirements
  5. Retry Publishing:

    • Automatic: System retries up to 3 times (5min, 15min, 60min delays)
    • Manual: Click "Retry" in publishing history
  6. Check Content Format:

    • Ensure content meets platform requirements (character limits, image requirements, etc.)
    • Edit content if needed and republish

💡 Tip: Most publishing failures are due to expired credentials or rate limits. Reconnecting accounts usually fixes the issue.

Export Not Downloading

Symptoms:

  • Export button doesn't download file
  • File doesn't appear in downloads

Solutions:

  1. Check Browser:

    • Try different browser
    • Check browser download settings
  2. Check Pop-up Blocker:

    • Disable pop-up blocker
    • Allow downloads from CampaignOps
  3. Check File Size:

    • Large exports may take time
    • Wait a moment for download to start
  4. Try Different Format:

    • Switch to Markdown or JSON
    • Some formats may have issues
  5. Contact Support:

    • If issue persists, contact support with:
      • Export type and format
      • Browser and version
      • Screenshot of issue

Can't Approve Content

Symptoms:

  • Approve button disabled or not visible
  • Can't approve items

Solutions:

  1. Check Role:

    • Ensure you have Approver or Owner role
    • Members can view but not approve
  2. Check Workspace Settings:

    • Verify approval workflow enabled
    • Check Settings → Workspace Settings
  3. Check Content Status:

    • Content must be COMPLETED to approve
    • Check status in Review Room
  4. Contact Workspace Owner:

    • Request approver role if needed
    • Check workspace permissions

Campaign Not Executing

Symptoms:

  • Campaign stays in DRAFT or RUNNING status
  • Doesn't complete

Solutions:

  1. Check Module Status:

    • Ensure all modules completed
    • Check individual module statuses
  2. Check Plan:

    • Campaigns require Pro+ plan
    • Verify your plan includes campaigns
  3. Review Error Messages:

    • Check campaign details for errors
    • Look for failed modules
  4. Re-execute:

    • Cancel and re-run campaign
    • Check inputs are correct

Brand Not Showing in Modules

Symptoms:

  • Brand doesn't appear in module dropdown
  • Can't select brand

Solutions:

  1. Check Brand Exists:

    • Go to Brands page
    • Verify brand is there
  2. Check Brand Limit:

    • Verify you haven't reached brand limit
    • Check Settings → Billing
  3. Refresh Page:

    • Refresh to reload brands
    • Clear browser cache if needed
  4. Check Filters:

    • Clear any filters applied
    • Check if brand is filtered out

  4. Use Appropriate Counts:

    • Don't over-generate
    • Start with smaller counts
  5. Be Specific with Topics:

    • Better topics = better content
    • Reduces need for edits
